Abstract :
Although the use of signals with large bandwidth and duration improves resolution in classical active sonar, problems arise in echo detection when the delay, Doppler and direction parameters are close. The maximum likelihood estimator (MLE) applied to active spatio-temporal signal shows that identification of close highlight points can be achieved
