Abstract :
This book explores efficient solutions for Long Term Evolution (LTE) deployment over heterogeneous multi-core architectures. It presents and discusses efficient solutions for designing dataflow systems on heterogeneous multicore architectures, as a specific case study based on LTE physical layer design. If general readers approach the book in this spirit, they will find it easier to generalize from the specific methodologies discussed here. The majority of the book gives details of the case examined. The general may struggle a bit to glean lessons applicable to other kinds of system design from this case study. But this kind of struggle will be worthwhile, especially for those working in dataflow applications. While the particulars discussed in this book are clearly focused on LTE eNodeB, the overall approaches definitely hold lessons for other design teams.
