  • Abstract
    We developed a method to calibrate a variable number of cameras with overlapping fields of vision and a markerless planar calibration target. To identify distinct pass points in the camera images with subpixel accuracy we use projected horizontal and vertical phase shift measurements. The plane can be observed a variable amount of times in different positions, which need not to be known. The 3D reconstruction using the projector coordinates and the presented calibration achieves a higher level of accuracy in the measurement volume compared to markerbased passive calibration field techniques.
