Abstract :
We briefly describe the interconnection topology of our prototype cluster system, then we analyze and discuss the development methods, the framework and the contents of the software development environment for the cluster system. We develop the user-friendly environment containing the cluster system by restructuring and modifying existing popular parallel software, such as PVM etc., keeping their user interfaces intact, so that general PVM programs can be executed on our cluster system. Remarkable results have been obtained by using the software development environment to solve parallel processing applications in remote sensing image data and computational fluid mechanics, and so forth
