Abstract
MIMO communications systems in the context of multiple element arrays of antennas provide increased capacity over single element antenna systems, i.e. SISO communications systems. In the context of this type of MIMO communications system, a series of orthogonal data streams are seen to exist between each multiple element array. Also, the multi-path signal environment between either army is exploited to provide added capacity. Results are presented here, based on actual physical channel measurements, which indicate the effect of a changing physical multi-path signal environment on the potential capacity of a MIMO communications system
