Abstract :
According to the characteristics of huge ship motion forced by waves. It is introduced that a real-time modeling and prediction method of ship attitude motion utilizing the automation regressive moving average (ARMA) model. ARMA model and AR model for wave force of bow halls were given. And it is discussed in details that a real-time fast order selection with improved corner condition and the RLS algorithm of online parameter identification. It was resolved that the on-line estimate problem of order selection for ARMA model, and the prediction calculation time was shorten. The algorithm was suitable to modeling and prediction for ship under uneasy motion. In the paper, the simulation result showed that the computational complexity was shortcut and the prediction precision was increased than ARMA, AR algorithm based on AIC criterion order selection. This algorithm was available to prediction of huge ship attitude motion
