Abstract :
An image based measurement system for the online inspection of electromechanical parts is described. The system uses two cameras to perform dimensional measurements and operates online. After the description of the measurement system and of its installation on the production line, the paper details the algorithms for the localization and the measurement of the required quantities, the calibration procedure and the error correction. The results of experimental tests for the performance evaluation in terms of timing and accuracy will be presented.
