Abstract :
An alternative Prony model representation requiring a low computational cost is presented. It is shown that a Prony model of order p is equivalent to an autoregressive recurrence of order p and p least squared (LS) initial values. Computational examples show that choosing the p first signal points as recurrence initialization may fairly approximate the LS values for medium signal-to-noise ratios
