Abstract :
Soil moisture is one of the most important variables regarding climate evolution. In this work, we use the triple collocation method with SMOS, AMSR-E (LPRM) and ASCAT soil moisture products at a global scale. The goal of this study is to compare SMOS soil moisture product to already existing data sets, to evaluate its accuracy and to identify the kind of areas where SMOS performs better (type of vegetation or soil).
