Abstract
As increase applicability of unplugged wireless systems, much effort to reduce power consumption in transceiver has been invested. Most of publications, however, target in RF front-end, ADCs and DACs, or in the digital baseband architecture individually. This paper proposes an adaptive system level architecture focus on ADC and digital receiver power safe. It uses a robust algorithm to digital receiver baseband, a Sigma-Delta ADC, and a feedback control block based on packet SNR measure. The system was designed targeting standard IEEE 802.15.4. Simulations show up to 13% of system power reduction and still meeting the standard requirements.
