Abstract :
The purpose of the present paper is to discuss the results of research conducted in 2012 in order to determine the role of Internet as the source for acquiring the medical information in a group of students. Obtained results confirm the assumed working hypothesis about big role of Internet as the source of medical information that the searching for medical information in Internet is the principal sign of the use of ICT solutions in health protection (as one of e-health elements). It has been examined what kind of information is searched by the patients, what Internet sources are used, what is the reason of the searching for medical information in Internet, what are the barriers encountered by the patients. Details are included in this paper.
