Abstract :
This paper presents a new approach to measure and analyze the noise in an industrial plant. The measurements were made in a large footwear industry environment. The main goal of this study is develop a methodology to measure noise that addresses the Brazilian legislation and presents other important informations to help a future mitigation of the noise. The results demonstrate how this problem is harmful to workers´ health and enable develop a mathematical model of measured noise.
