Abstract :
In this study, we derive new expressions for the probability of outage where a mobile unit receives a Nakagami desired signal and multiple, cochannel, independent Nakagami interferers. Unlike some previous results, the expressions are usable when the Nakagami fading parameter, m, is not necessarily an integer. An exact formula is also derived for the outage probability when the desired signal power must exceed a minimum threshold for satisfactory reception. Typically, in mobile radio, the received signal also experience log-normal shadowing. The outage probability is derived when the received signals suffer both Nakagami-fading and shadowing simultaneously
