Abstract :
This is the sixth edition of IEEE conferences with the motto ´Intelligent Systems: Methodology, Systems, Applications in Emerging Technologies.´ The first one was just ten years ago. Our motto unifies the picture of contemporary intelligent systems as an integral concept that highlights several factors and bridges theoretical research with applications in automation, information technologies, and intelligent measurement. The structure of the conference possesses the same proportions as of IEEE IS?????????2002, IS?????????2004, IS?????????2006 in Varna; IS´2006 and IS´2010 in London which shows that the interest in this direction is kept unchanged. The number of presented draft papers is not less than in the past. The conference is organized in twenty eight main sections comprising enhanced knowledge management, knowledge discovery and data mining, intelligent control, artificial intelligence, artificial neural networks, neuro-fuzzy systems, multiagent systems, fuzzy logic, intelligent measurement, decision support systems, healthcare and bioinformatics, and challenging applications to complex systems. In parallel six invited sessions are organized by scientific groups from USA, UK, Poland, Macedonia, the former Yugoslav Republic of, China, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Italy, Greece, Germany, Slovakia, Australia, Portugal, Korea, and India. Two tutorial sessions on Data Mining and SuperComputing organized by international groups from Serbia, Japan, USA, UK, Montenegro, Bosnia are also included in the conference schedule. The conference is organized by the IEEE Computational Intelligence Chapter of Bulgaria and IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement, Control Systems, Systems Man and Cybernetics Joint Chapter of Bulgaria in coordination with the Federation of Scientific-Engineering Unions of Bulgaria, the John Atanasoff SAI, and ULSIT - Sofia. The conference has been technically co-sponsored by IEEE Computational Intelligence Society and IEEE Region 8. The sponsors of- the conference are IEEE Instrumentation and Measurement Society, IEEE IM/CS/SMC Joint Chapter of Bulgaria, and IEEE Systems, Man and Cybernetics Society.
