Abstract
Suggested network reinforcements to increase the available transfer capability of an interconnected power system include series compensation of transmission lines. In this paper, a methodology for the identification of the critical transmission lines with respect to voltage stability issues is proposed. The methodology is applied on the CIGRE 33-bus test system
