Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an algorithm for allocating resource blocks in the LTE downlink in order to maximize the throughput of the system, to guarantee QoS parameters for users and to decrease data loss rate. The proposed allocation scheme makes use of adaptive effective bandwidth estimation of user´s traffic flows. The effective bandwidth of the traffic flow to each user is estimated via the parameters of the adaptive βMWM (βeta Multifractal Wavelet Mode) to attain the QoS parameters. Simulations of the proposed algorithm are carried out considering a propagation model with multipath fading and with different numbers of users in the network. The simulation results are compared with other algorithms presented in the literature in terms of throughput of the system, data loss rate and fairness index.
