Abstract :
Summary form only given, as follows. Site-directed exogenous chemical markers used with fluorescence endoscopy have the potential for improving the detection and diagnosis of disease. We illustrate how minimally invasive imaging, using lanthanide chelates, can provide 80% sensitivity and 95% specificity for detection of cancerous lesions in the colon.
