Abstract
Proteomics, the science of proteins is the global study of the expression, interaction and modification of proteins within the body. Since proteins are the intermediaries between genetic instruction and all forms of cell activity, advances in proteomics promise to provide insight into disease and to accelerate systematized discovery of new drugs. Proteomics offers medical research groups a way to better diagnose disease [J.A. Mathews et al., March 2002]. In this paper we present an overview of our approach to proteomics and the tools we use.
