Abstract :
In this paper, the algorithms of process planning based on graph theory and the method of integrating knowledge with design process are discussed, which regulate and simplify the design operation. The process-oriented knowledge-based CAD system is realized which can achieve the automatic modeling and assembling of the main part of a reducer product during process design. By the implementation of combining KBE and process design technology, the design process of a product is managed and becomes more efficient and stable. The research validates the feasibility of process-oriented knowledge-based design method and also sets an example for dealing with complex product process planning problems.
