An overview is presented of technical parameters for planning the fixed-satellite service contained in the CCIR documentation (CCIR Volumes IV and IV/IX) and in the report of the CCIR to WARC (World Administrative Radio Conference) ORB 88. The information deals with three categories of frequency bands, namely: alloted bands, improved procedures bands, and unplanned bands
