Abstract
Stator current sharing will be unbalance in dual three-phase permanent-magnet synchronous motor (DTP-PMSM) drives since two three-phase systems have inherent asymmetries. In this paper, a simple current sharing scheme is proposed to eliminate the inherent asymmetries of the two three-phase systems. It will enable the motor to operate with balance current sharing between the two three-phase winding sets and has low implementation complexity. The control scheme is validated by simulation and experiment with a 3kW DTP-PMSM drive prototype.
