Abstract :
A recent development in technology is the Internet of Things (IoT). This is seen to bean integrated part of Future Internet and maybe defined as; a dynamic global network infrastructure with self-configuring capabilities based on standard and interoperable communication protocols. In this paper, we forecast research trends expressed by the amount of research papers published in the digital libraries. GM (1, 1) model is used to predict the number of future research papers based on the previous years´ summary. From the results we analyse the research popularity as well as to find out how GM (1, 1) deals with uncertain data sequence. The result shows that in the future, the interest of researchers in this field increase.
