Abstract
DV-Hop algorithm is one of the popular localization algorithms in Wireless Sensor Networks. By using the global strategy, the error of Average Distance Per-Hop (ADPH) in traditional DV-Hop is unmeasured and large in non-homogeneous density WSN. In the improved DV-Hop algorithm proposed in this paper, the upper bound of the position area is determined and "suitable" anchors participating location are selected among the local position area, the ADPH can be calculated using the "suitable" anchors in the local area, which is rarely affected by the non-homogeneous density. Simulation results show that the positioning accuracy of the improved DV-Hop algorithm can increase by 30% than that of traditional DV-Hop algorithm.
