Abstract :
Voltage stability means much to power system. Users can not be satisfied with low voltage for their requests of power quality. In addition, if there are factors which can cause voltage collapse, measures should be taken as soon as possible, in case of big damages to power system. The voltage may be instable when there are many induction motors, so researching relationships between induction motors and critical instable voltage may do a favour to control stability of voltage. A model of induction motor based on power flow equations in a single motor and single load system is built in this paper. From the view of voltage instability mechanism, the expression of critical instable voltage is derived based on bifurcation theory. The relationships between key parameters in induction motors and critical instable voltage are researched, and curves of those relationships are showed.
