Abstract
The paper describes a mobile data network architecture with a novel predictive mobility management algorithm to support global mobile data accessing. The concept of a mobile distributed system platform with mobile-floating agents is proposed to support service and resource mobility, that is, to distribute network services and resources closer to mobile users. Furthermore, by combining the predictive mobility management algorithm with mobile-floating agent functions, the services and user data are generally pre-connected and pre-assigned at the locations to which the user is moving. Thus, the user can immediately receive services and/or data with essentially the same efficiency as at the prior location
