Abstract
To summarize, the comparative study of the anisotropic-like transmission regimes achievable in rather simple EBG and ULEM gratings, which do not contain anisotropic constituents, has been carried out. The effect exerted by grating period on these regimes has been analyzed. In the contrast with the structures based on anisotropic materials, nor transformation of linear polarization occurs in the studied gratings. The possibility of obtaining a reflection-free unidirectional transmission regime is presently under study.
