Abstract :
The insatiable demand for Web content access from mobile devices poses an ever increasing challenge for mobile network operators to provide an acceptable quality of experience(QoE) for subscribers This paper presents a technique to improve Web access experience for mobile network subscribers by preloading popular content at operator network based Web caches We have devised a new algorithm to dynamically calculate the popularity of cached Web content. The presented technique improves quality of experience for mobile network subscribers without adversely affecting backhaul network traffic The emulation results of proposed technique shows up to 30% reduction in Web content access latency.
