Abstract :
This study is focused on the measurement of the refractive index of atmosphere in two points located along our experimental FSO link on the mountain observatory “Milesovka“ of severe weather conditions. The aim of this work is to search for the relationship between FSO link attenuation and the structure index which should describe the refractive index inhomogenity. The experimental FSO link is situated from ground to the 30 m tower of observatory Milesovka. Its length is 60 meters while wavelength being 830 and 1550 nm. The setup for measurement of the atmospheric refractive index has a very similar displacement like the FSO link. One goal of this study is confirm effect of refractive index to FSO link attenuation.
