Abstract :
We have demonstrated 35 nm blueshift of transmission spectra by compressive stress in Germanium waveguide as a breakthrough to realize waveguide-integrated pure Ge Franz-Keldysh electro-absorption modulators at 1550 nm without alloys of Si.
