Abstract
The effective development of correct software is one of the most significant challenges of software engineering facing today´s software developers. From the customer´s point of view, software is often too expensive to develop, too expensive to maintain and does not meet expectations when completed. The challenge facing us is how to resolve this situation while increasing productivity. This paper discusses formal development techniques that can improve software reliability and reusability. It explores systematic techniques for merging the approaches of object oriented technology with those of formal development methods to produce software designs
