Abstract :
This report discusses the application of biometrics in the area of e-government. Emphasis is on the choice of a specific and useful biometric template. In this paper, we suggest that the integration of biometric finger vein technology into an e-government portal will increase security by improving the user authentication. Stress is placed on finger vein technology as a tool which provides continuous and integrated security. The hypothesis is that it is a universal management solution to the problem of identity protection in e-government access.
