Abstract
The successful development and delivery of an embedded system requires the collaboration of many diverse talents from the areas of marketing, project management and electrical, mechanical and software engineering. The management of these projects is complicated by the need to integrate and coordinate the development methodologies from these various disciplines. The paper considers how the application of object oriented techniques to the product development cycle provides a simplified framework for describing, developing and managing the product from concept to delivery
