Abstract :
In the last years the concept of sport car is changed; actually this market area involves the traditional expert customer and increasing number of amateurs. First kind of users has a predilection for performance of car while the second kind of users choices a luxury car for its exclusiveness; they consider the comfort of cockpit an essential characteristic of product. To provide this pleasantness improvement, Ferrari Electric/Electronic System Department works to mount an efficient Human Machine Interfaces System. The goal is to obtain an high level instruments to control and monitor all comfort/safety/check devices; it´s clear that it´s no sufficient the reliableness of components but the final interface must be user friendly in every condition of work. The most important steps of this complex implement process are: benchmarking with concurrents, selection of best suppliers, innovation design, complete testing and approval measurements. It´s necessary to respect the development car timing and to maximaze the objectivity of measurements. The last job needs of advancing technology and these advancements require new measurement capability, comparability and traceability.
