  • Abstract
Sag distributions are highly dependent on network characteristics. Because of the construction of the meshed transmission system, sags caused by transmission faults propagate long distances and affect all the connected power system parts. In this paper, the effect of the characteristics of the subtransmission system on voltage sag characteristics are studied. The size and the short circuit level of the subtransmission system have a considerable influence on sag properties. Study cases were calculated applying network data of parts of the Finnish subtransmission system.
