Abstract :
Summary form only given. A wide-area remote monitoring of methane (CH/sub 4/) is important for preserving the environment and safety point of view. In the present study, application of a differential absorption lidar (DIAL) system at 1.67 /spl mu/m absorption band is described for detection of CH/sub 4/ gas leakage position and its concentration in industries.
