Abstract :
In the present paper we present some considerations to be taken in to account for automatic measurements of consumer electronic front-ends. We use for this approach sampled signals instead of analogue signals. The sampled signals are processed in time and frequency domain using digital signal processing, allowing faster and more effective measurement methods. Measurements of analogue (noise figure, phase noise, IP3) and digital parameters (BER) are explained here on a satellite front-end for digital TV reception.
