Abstract :
A new approach of using stacked patches rather than the one used in previous work of embedding an air cavity in Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic (LTCC) substrate for increasing bandwidth for antenna operating at 80 GHz is proposed. The simulated S11 results show a minimum of -33 dB at 82 GHz with a 8.3% bandwidth calculated at -10 dB. The simulated radiation patterns show a maximum gain of 6.7 dBi.
