Abstract :
As the existing technology is not ideal, saturation of radar receiver is inevitable. Receiver saturation will reconstruct the original echo signal and cause the target strength distortion and false targets. This paper established a nonlinear mathematical model of simplified saturation. The signal phase and amplitude errors are obtained by using quadrature demodulation. Then we analyzed the effects of these errors on image formation and verified conclusions by simulation.
