Abstract :
Traditionally, distribution systems are based on aerial networks. In some cases, such as in historical centers where the aesthetic aspect must be considered, an underground system is more adequate, but presents higher costs. Besides, placing of transformers can also be troublesome. In order to reduce costs and considering the possibility of flooding in some areas and space restrictions, a compromise solution should be sought. This work intends to develop a method to make the best allocation of the primary and secondary network systems in a site with the aforementioned characteristics. A comparative analysis of the costs and features of a number of systems for a study case is presented
