  • Abstract
The developed parallel drive system of the double switched reluctance motors is introduced. The component parts of the system, such as the structure of the 12/8 motor, the topology of the power converter, the structure of the rotor position detector and the control pattern of the fixed angle PWM control strategy with fuzzy logic algorithm are presented. The main motor could be controlled with closed-loop rotor speed control. The deviation of the rotor speed between the main motor and the subordinate motor, and the deviation of the average DC supplied current of the power converter between the main motor and the subordinate motor are two input control parameters. The increment of the duty ratio of the PWM signal of the subordinate motor is the output control parameter. The experimental tests are made. It is shown that the error of the rotor speed of the subordinate motor is within 5% and the error of the output torque of the subordinate motor is within 10%.
