Abstract :
Summary form only given. We have developed a compact tunable UV laser induced fluorescence (LIF) sensor system which is being used to detect trace plastic and related compounds in seawater using excitation emission matrix (EEM) spectroscopy. EEM measures a complete fluorescence emission spectrum at each excitation wavelength, and then provides such data at a large number of different excitation wavelengths as the laser is tuned.
