Abstract :
BER testers measure CDFs (cumulative density functions) in real-time; however, BER applications have been limited to using repeating PRBS (pseudorandom binary sequence) or fixed sequences. The paper presents altering the decision circuit to allow CDF accumulation in any data stream including "live" traffic.
