Abstract :
This paper describes the operational experience of the Ge-Nan ±500 kV HVDC link in 1992. It includes the statistical results of energy availability and energy utilisation of this HVDC link and other system performance, such as the features of faults and actions of DC protection, which occurred during this period on the HVDC link, the analyses of forced outages, and the proposals for improving this HVDC system performance
