Abstract
The real time tracking control of the rolling mill hydraulic position servo system is challenging due to the difficulty in obtaining an accurate mathematical model and the fact that different sources of uncertainties exist in the adjustment process. This paper presents a new real time inverse control scheme based on the adaptive PSO-IIR filters for this hydraulic APC process. The IIR filter, whose weights are trained by the PSO algorithm, is used to approximate the inverse dynamics of the real time process and to identify the uncertain plant. Finally, the proposed control scheme and the PID feedback control are compared and implemented in simulation experimental platform.
