Abstract :
This paper presents a method of determine the speed control of induction machine using currently available software to model and simulate a vector controlled system. The components of a typical vector control system are introduced and methods given for incorporating these in the MATLAB/SIMULINK Software package. Development trends in industrial drives indicate that the next generation of electrical drives will include some type of sensorless control. Controlled induction motor drives without speed sensors have the attraction of low cost and high reliability due to the absence of mechanical component and its sensor cable. In this paper we present voltage and current model based MRAS speed estimator. The model of three phase voltage source inverter is discussed based on space vector representation.
