Abstract :
This study examines the factors that influence instructors´ acceptance and use of the Distance Learning Management System (DLMS) and tests the applicability of the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), in the context of distance learning practices in higher education. A survey was conducted to higher education instructors who involved in distance learning instruction. This study used a set of questionnaire which was adapted from TAM with three factors namely Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use and Behavioural Intention to Use. Using data from a survey to distance learning instructors (N=110), a path analysis revealed that perceived ease of use of the system had a significant impact on perceived usefulness as suggested by TAM. In addition, this study confirmed that Perceived Ease of Use and Perceived Usefulness have positive effect on Behavioural Intention to Use.
