Abstract
The effect of spontaneous and carrier noise on mode-locked hybrid soliton pulse source (HSPS) is described by coupled-mode equations, and relative intensity noise (RIN) is calculated using numerical solutions of these equations. It is found that transform limited pulses are not generated because of these noises.
