Abstract :
There are many unavoidable shortages in traditional marine power system design methods. The emergence of virtual prototyping technology offers a new way to marine power system design. In this paper, the shortages of traditional marine power system design methodology are presented. Then, the architecture of applying virtual prototyping to design marine power system is established and its key technologies such as modeling technology, collaborative simulation technology, decision support system and data management are discussed.
