  • Abstract
An approach has been defined, and a system developed, to aid the maintenance programmer by producing documentation from source code input. A system called the Parser/Documenter has been developed which is designed to accept source code from a variety of third-generation languages and outputs one of several documentation tools. The authors discuss current documentation methodologies, the development of the Parser/Documenter and one application currently under development: expanded Nassi-Shneiderman charts
