Abstract :
Efficiency of inductor commutation soft-switched PWM inverter is improved by frequency modulation of the carrier signal. In this paper we propose a novel FM technique for more improvement of the efficiency and analyze the loss and efficiency of the inverter. These results are verified experimentally and the effectiveness of FM is shown.
